Meet Poonam Sharma, a freelance writer and Notion enthusiast on a journey to conquer the freelancing and side hustle realm. With over two years of writing experience, Poonam effortlessly blends creativity into a blank page. For her, writing is a natural passion, a way to spread happiness and enhance lives. Beyond the keyboard, she explores diverse experiences through reading and watching shows while crafting practical Notion templates.

Transitioning from freelancing to a one-person business, Poonam now dives into the world of digital creation, sharing insights on content creation, writing, productivity, and side hustles. Passionate about a happy life mantra, she recently launched her lifestyle log “Comfy Talks with Poonam,” delving into self-care, simple living, and the art of side hustles. Life, for Poonam, is all about finding joy, and through her writings, she strives to help others live better.

A Joyful Experience

For Poonam Sharma, the prospect of earning money online is a source of joy, particularly when it transforms into passive income. Unfortunately, many face obstacles in this endeavor due to a lack of clear guidance. In this context, we will go over her step-by-step process, offering insights and strategies to make your online money-making journey a successful one.

Poonams Journey to Online Money Making

The start of making money online began when Poonam decided to build a side hustle business as a notion creator. She initially started with freelancing and then quit to build her one person business as a digital creator and writer. She now creates digital products that she turns into passive income.

Poonams goal is to build a successful freelancing and side hustle business. Harnessing the power of leverage, she was able to kick off her side hustle business in no time using her knowledge on online business and her passion for creating notion templates. Her motto is “If you don’t feel like doing it leave it.”

The Process

For Poonam, the process began with making an account on Gumroad. According to Poonam, Gumroad serves as a user-friendly marketplace for selling digital products, providing a convenient platform. The app boasts an attractive UI, complemented by a comprehensive guide for easy setup, ensuring users avoid confusion. What’s even better is that signing up is completely free.

Poonam advises that once your account is set up, explore Gumroad’s Discover page to identify top-performing trends and products on the platform. Gumroad’s versatility allows you to sell a wide array of digital products, offering you the flexibility to showcase and market your creations. Whether it’s art, courses, or any digital content, Gumroad provides a space to connect creators with their audience.

After making a Gumroad account, Poonam had to make a decision on what product(s) to sell. According to Sharma, Gumroad allows you to sell anything on their site including notion and Canva templates. Some of the best things to sell are: ebooks, guides, Notion templates and Canva templates.

Next, Poonam had to find a way to build her product. When it comes to building her digital products, the main focus is to solve a problem, which doesn’t require any special skills. According to Sharma, Notion allows you to create a reading tracker or watchlist tracker to see how your audience is responding to your products. She advises that when starting, set your focus on building a usable product. There are thousands of creators out there, so find your style and BE DIFFERENT.

After the build, it was now time for Poonam to launch her product. Sharma understands that selling digital products can be challenging without a built-in audience. However, she shares insights on three effective platforms for finding customers, even without a pre-established audience:Facebook, Reddit and Pinterest.

With the launch of Poonams product completed, the only thing left to do was to promote it. Sharma suggests a proactive approach to building an online presence and generating income. By holding giveaways on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Discord, she emphasizes the importance of simultaneously growing an email list.

Poonams Success

According to Poonam, she’s made over $1,700 by just selling Notion templates. She notes that over $1,450 was made on Gumroad and the rest was made by affiliate marketing.

Poonam believes that this strategy can lead to earning even a modest amount like $1 within a week, considering it as a significant starting point on the path towards a larger goal, such as reaching $10k. Her message is clear: the journey begins with that first step, and starting is key.
