Finally! The moment we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived!
Not as disruptive as the Windows updates we know…
BUT the long awaited v1.5.6 update is finally out! Here’s what you should know:
Product Update 1: FAQ/ Knowledge Categorization
If you are already a user, you probably would have asked this question before: “Can we categorize our information in the FAQ section”.
The team is proud to say YES , YES, YES and YES. You can now categorize your information in the FAQ section (note that it's actually “Knowledge section” now) but I am just using the term you are familiar with a.k.a. FAQ. All you OG boys know what I mean.
Note that we only allow 10 unique categories, including our default category “others”. This is such that your workspace don’t get flooded with 101 different types of categorization, looking like … social media #HASHTAGS
Product Update 2: Repository: Access Rights & Categorization
i. Providing Access Rights: We made providing access rights easier. This is after understanding your struggles of clicking 93 times just to share a file with all your members.
With this update, sharing information with your team can now be done in a click of a button.
ii. Creating folders for files/documents in Repository: Now you can organize your files, documents, or images better with our Folders.
To add a folder, simply click on New > Folder > and there you have it, a folder.
Product Update 3: Admin Panel access via App
With our newly added buttons, you can have quick access to the DayOne Admin Panel to create, edit, delete MOTDs, Knowledge, Responsibility, or Repository.
If you haven’t had the time to look at our App. Here’s an image to guide you where are the entry points for the admin panel. (see in red below)
As shown, each feature has their own unique access points, and they are indicated with a pencil icon. We hope that this saves you time and make your experience using the DayOne App better because, we know you can’t be on your laptop 24/7.
Note: clicking on the icon will bring you to a redirection to the web-app version of the Admin Panel. You will still have to use your phone’s browser for it.
This pretty much sums up most of the major updates for v1.5.6. We hope it got you excited!

Moving on to team, this week is an exciting week because it's the birthday of our dear UX/UI Designer Lilian. (Lil) Hurray! She’s turning 18, sweet 18.
Happy Birthday, Lilian! On behalf of the DayOne team, we wish you a great birthday and may your dreams and wish be achieved this year (or should we say next year).
Also for this week, our CTO Chan Wai Hsuen (Weixian), decided to do something fun with the DayOne team before the year ends.
He decided that DayOne should do a Breakfast-Show and Tell session. Since meeting face to face is really challenging because of the COVID-19 Pandemic as well as the difference in location for the SG Team and VN Team.
It’s been awhile since are able to run team activity and session (especially with the recent sprints for the App). The team is definitely looking forward for it!
