A passion for education. A passion for people. This is the cover of this year’s ELIC brochure that tells about who we are and what we do. It brilliantly and simply states what we are about. We love education. We believe education is a gift. And we love people. We love to gift people with education.
Usually in info-blogs such as this one, we tell you all the information about who we are, what we do, how to get started, etc. But today we are going to be bold and cut to the heart of things. That information is below, but here’s what you really want to know.

Who We Are:
Wrapping up our birthday month, we are excited to celebrate 35 years of our front-row seat, educating the future leaders of the world. We consider it both a privilege to be able to provide high-quality education as well as an opportunity to build genuine relationships with our students, colleagues, and neighbors.
What We Do:
We send passionate people to work in some of the most remarkable places on earth. At the invitation of universities and governments, we work in over 14 countries in Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa.
We create amazing teams of people who live and work alongside one another, serving university students, refugees, community members, outreach recipients, and more. And we have a wide range of programs that vary in commitment length, location options, and teaching focus.
Who We Send:
In the countries where we serve, ELIC has a reputation of sending the best and the brightest. Our programs are designed for people of any age, background, or walk of life. We send college students, recent graduates, interns, singles, young married couples, families, and empty nesters looking to start a new chapter in life.
What Are My Options:
Step 1: Go to elic.org and find the program that fits you best.
Engage — Summer (college students, interns, 4–8 weeks)
Summer Teaching Program — Summer (all ages, excluding college students, 4–8 weeks)
Project 5.6 — Travel to 5 countries in 6 months (all ages)
Equip — 1 Year (recent college grads up to age 25)
University Teaching Program — Long-term service of at least 1 year (all ages)
Step 2: Fill out the Fast Track application to move through an accelerated process.
Step 3: Check your email and your phone. You will hear quickly from someone in our office.
Step 4: Finish and submit your application.
Step 5: Tell your friends and family, and raise your support.
Step 6: Attend orientation. Meet your new team. Start your new adventure!
