I believe that the team that we have now is the best team we have ever had.
Everyone seems to get along with everyone and we share most of the priorities in life.
This time we did not have much time to organise it as we had a big event in Poland just a few days before that so some of the organisational aspects were freestyle.

I arrived to Sofia from Krakow the previous night, spent the evening and a bottle of whiskey with my girlfriend and woke up late so I ran from my place to Soho but still arrived 20 minutes late.
Ivo who organised our stay in Soho was already there and I bumped into Mirko at the door.

We chatted a bit and sat down to work, then Sve and Zlatan arrived and it was already time for lunch.
We went to a nice place I discovered recently Бюфетъ. Balazs arrived straight there from the airport.
We had lunch and went back to SOHO for a few hours to finish up some pending work. Then the guys went for beers and I went to get my car, get a roof box on it, put some fuel, pack my bags and had dinner at my parents house who I hadn’t seen in a while. We got a bit drunk and decided to surprise David and pick him up at the Airport. We even prepared a sign for him :)

The next day started with a storm alert and the lift didn’t work in the Rila lakes, so we decided to rest a bit more and try to go around 9 am. The conditions had not improved so we decided to go to Borovetz instead for the day. We met in Pliska around 10:30 am and left towards the mountains.
By the time we got there, parked, rented skies for Balázs and actually got to the slope it was already noon so we got half day cards.
Ivo was taking photos, Zlatan had some snowboard lessons with Dea, one of the happiest people on this planet and the rest of us hit the slopes and had some fun on the very crowded and icy slopes.

We left around 14:00 and drove towards the Rila Lakes. Unfortunately the lift was still out of order which meant that we had to walk up. So we had a meatball each, and had to reduce the luggage that we intended to carry to the strict minimum but I think we were the only 7 people walking up with 7 laptops.

The walk was not easy and I was very scared about the guys. We walked up for 3 hours 2.5 of which were in the dark, snow to the knees sometimes. We were not ready for this and most of the guys did not have appropriate shoes and clothes.

After 3 long hours, some swearing, lots of luck with the weather (no wind) we made it to the hut. This by itself was quite amazing.

The hut did not have electricity and was only working on a generator so almost everything was dark and heating was not really there.
The guys had some whiskey which helped :) I was together with Sve and David in a room that according to David’s watch was 6 degrees. So we were sleeping with lots of clothes on…

We got up and had a slow breakfast in hope that the lift would start which it did. Balázs, David, Mirko and me decided to try our luck and went down, to the bottom of the slope to get some more stuff from the cars. We took the lift up had some lunch and David and I decided to go down again despite that the lift was not working. Because of him since this winter I have skies with touring bindings and skins so claiming on your own is a good option and this was the 3rd time I ever did it. It took us one hour 40 minutes to go up on our own with no luggage.
We arrived at the top and had some drinks, some laughs, some food, some games. It was a lot of fun.

We had to go back on Monday because we were supposed to be online on Tuesday for a streamed event so we packed in the morning to leave everything in the cars and do a few runs before heading to Sofia but it turned out to be one of the best days I have ever had.
Sunshine, powder, no people, lift working, everyone seemed to have an awesome time and after every run were like: lets do one more and this repeated itself over and over again until we were the last people on the lift up around 16:30.
By then for me the day was already as good as it gets but we decided to try and keep the momentum and as soon as we got into Sofia we went straight to a go cart place still half dressed in snow gear. That was a lot of fun. Ivo and I got some warnings for misbehaving on the track and Balázs overtook us once in a super fast way. Never the less Mirko who likes winning all team building games, also won the race which places B in spot 2. I think I was 5th or 6th.. :)
From there we went for a nice dinner at Raketa bar that I recommend to anyone visiting Sofia.
We got home by midnight I think exhausted but happy from an awesome day.

We met in Betahouse in the morning and I have to say that I like the vibe and the space a lot better than Soho.

We spent half of the day there and Zlatan and I had to leave first as we were driving to Varna. The drive was nice and we talked all the way which was fun.

For me this was the best getting together so far.

I wonder if we will be able to top it up with the summer one :)
