Star Trek in the European Parliament

Today we have something really fun for you! At 16:00 CET we begin to stream live a discussion between actors from STAR TREK and real astronauts. We will try to find the answer to the question: “Can fictive heroes inspire young people to go into science and technology?”

One of the participants will be Dutch astronaut André Kuipers, who holds the record of longest European stay in Orbit and who just came down from the International Space Station. Other interesting faces will be the EU’s Chief Scientific Advisor, Professor Anne Glover, and Frank de Winne, former International Space Station Commander and current Head of the ESA Astronaut Centre. Actors and scientist will be joined also by 100 students from around Europe.

Sounds 100 times better than any afternoon TV show!
