Natixis is the international corporate and investment banking, asset management, insurance and financial services arm of Groupe BPCE, the 2nd-largest banking group in France. It has a number of areas of expertise that are organised into four main business lines: Asset & Wealth Management, Corporate & Investment Banking, Insurance and Specialised Financial Services.

What do you do that makes your product exciting?

Natixis IT Center of Expertise provides innovative solutions for Natixis business operations worldwide, in 38 countries. This means that we not only impact the processes of the bank, but also the experience of our customers, in 4 domains: Corporate Investment Banking, Retail Banking, Infrastructure & Security and Support Functions.

What kind of talent are you looking for?

Natixis is searching for diverse IT profiles — from junior to senior positions, to many areas and technologies. We are mostly searching for people to work in development, business analysis, business intelligence, quality assurance/software testing areas, and also in the areas of infrastructures and security. Among the technologies we use we highlight Java, NET, Oracle e SQL Server.

What’s your opinion about Lisbon’s growing tech scene? How is it influencing the environment at Natixis?

Similarly to Porto, where Natixis in Portugal is based, Lisbon has been growing as a real tech hub, not only with high-level education institutions, but also with key tech companies investing in the city and in Portuguese talents. Natixis talents come often from the North region, but we have been recruiting a lot of people from Lisbon as well.

What’s the future of tech careers?

The IT Labour Market in Portugal is becoming very tight, but we believe that this dynamic tech environment makes us work harder every day, aiming to be even better for our current and future employees. The Portuguese economy has also a huge growth margin with all these movements. Portugal is becoming a worldwide reference in the development of tech careers and increasingly attractive for investments in this field.
