Background

Snickers Workwear is one of Sweden’s most classic workwear brands. Established in 1975 with the purpose of creating workwear that would match the needs of high demanding craftsmen.

Client: Snickers Workwear/Hultafors Group
Industry: Construction and Craftsmen’s workwear
Delivery: UX, Product Design, Development

Challenge

Our challenge was to help users find the right product and size. Forget S-XL. In this case, the users needs are far more complex. Not using the right garment or size could even be about life and death.

Going through all the data we collected and doing interviews we found out you often choose the size that feels good on you, but not the one you actually need. This, for example, led to users buying protective pants that were too large, and the knee-pads didn’t protect your knees, but your shins.

When you’re in a rush because your pants tore, who knows which of Snickers Workwear’s large and complex sizes you need?

Solution

This led to identifying the need of guidance when using the web and finding the right fit. We developed the new and improved Size Guide and The Workwear Guide.

Through rapid prototyping we learned what the user needed. We learned a lot about the craftsmen and that we were on the right track finding the pain points.

The result is two different interactive guides for helping the user find the right garment and size. The site also offers extensive data for learning about the products. Both through interviews, guides and product pages.

Do you have fantastic products you’d like to further complement with fantastic digital services? Maybe we can help. You know how to find me. :)
