To my future colleagues

Hello reader, my name is Petar. I founded Brainster 5 years ago, and to be honest, at the time I had no idea what I’m getting myself into. Regardless, these were the best 5 years of my life.

The reason why I started Brainster was to tackle difficult problems like education.

While many others fawned over social networks, photo-sharing apps, and other consumer-oriented products, my team and I invested in education, the future of work & technology. We hoped to be rewarded for these bets in good time. In 2018, this hope started to become a reality, we started to grow, we invested in other products with plans to solve these issues internationally.

As the world changes, our tactics will evolve but our goals will remain the same. We believe that all self-starting and ambitious individuals can become anything they want to become.

Our teaching methodology consists of various different approaches catering to different personalities and backgrounds. From learning by doing, to mentorship, self-paced learning, research, reading, case studies, peer-to-peer learning, and group projects — the Brainster programmes are made of a fixed track that everyone must finish, and a choose-your-own-adventure track that allows students to explore and experiment with their experience. We take into consideration that everyone is different and that’s why we design our programmes to help students make the most of their time with us.

Why my team and I see Brainster as the biggest brand here in 10 years

We all respect each other, we all look out for each other, we debate everything, we don’t agree on everything, we are human, we are approachable, we have empathy, we get shit done, we want to change things, we have fun.

Working in Brainster is not for everyone

Working with us is not all sunshine and butterflies. Even though employees have complete autonomy and ownership in the work, we’re demand results:

- No bullshit approach: we like to get shit done.

- We’re not gonna try and flex with ping-pong tables and beer fridges. We offer a thriving environment where people actually grow and build.

- We want to make things and make things happen.

- We tackle the most exciting and complex problems out there. Our job is to solve them in meaningful, future-forward ways.

- There are no pre-planned strategies. We are in the business of changing how the world works and that means you can also shape it for the better.

- There is no democracy when we talk about adapting and learning new things.

- We don’t accept excuses as valid arguments.

- We don’t accept resistance to improvement.

In the past 5 years, I learned that Digital Transformation is less about technology and more about people. So, having said all this, if you still want to work with us and serve the big mission, we’re looking for exceptional talent: engineers, designers, strategists, instructors, scientists, business people, writers, researchers, inventors, speakers, mathematicians, artists, coaches, makers, doers, thinkers, and dreamers. If you think you are one of them, we should talk. Just drop me a line: petar@brainster.co
