Hi, I’m Nidhi Pankaj, and I’m Talent Acquisition Intern at Sinch

. . .

To kick things off, I need to say that I particulary owe a debt of gratitude to Jobbsprånget for paving the way for my remarkable journey towards my first official internship in Sweden at Sinch. This pivotal opportunity marked the commencement of an enriching chapter in my professional life.

To those that do not know what Jobbsprånget is, I could say that Jobbsprånget is Sweden’s largest internship program. It bridges and connects Swedish employers with foreign-born talents to fulfil the demand of competences. It acts as a good entry point in the Swedish job market for the newcomer academics. If you are reading this and is a foreign-born person in Sweden or know someone that it’s, I strongly urge individuals to consider applying for this program. Oh! Just to let you know, the program opens its application twice a year, in Spring and Autumn.

Well, back to my experience; I need to say that the application process had its challenges, but the good results came out. After I applied for 33 positions, I got 4 offers. Even though I had my pick of 4 organizations, Sinch’s work culture drew me in, leading to a clear choice: Sinch was the one.

If I could give a little tip, not only to Jobbsprånget process but to every single hiring process people could face in their lives, I would say that authenticity is the key; it allows recruiters to delve deeper, discover more about you, and assist in better understanding your profile.

So, becoming part of Sinch as a recruiter has been an amazing journey, broadening my horizons and connecting with people both in person and online. And I need to highlight that collaborating with the remarkable Helene Lin has been truly inspiring. Helene, currently serving as a Talent Acquisition Partner at Sinch, entrusted me to assist in recruiting tech-related positions. I was originally hired as a Talent Sourcer, but she believed in my abilities and empowered me to oversee the entire recruitment process. Her kindness and extensive global experiences shine through, as she generously shares her network and wishes success for all.

Also, Malin Bränd serves as the Manager of Talent Acquisition and has consistently supported and uplifted my efforts at Sinch. Her leadership style emphasizes empowering the team, steering clear of micromanagement, and allowing individuals to autonomously lead their work in their own unique way.

Both Malin and Helene were truly examples of Sinch culture and what it means to be an amazing professional person.

Talking about culture, Sinch upholds values such as Dream Big, Win Together, Keep it Simple, and Make it Happen. We all, as Sincher live them daily, but among these, Win Together particularly resonates most with me. I strongly believe that lifting oneself alongside others is more significant than individual advancement up the ladder. After all, what’s a party without people, right?

As I continue to grow and learn in this nurturing environment, I look forward to embracing new challenges, leveraging my experiences, and contributing my best to the remarkable journey of Sinch.
