The new option could help especially businesses who are looking to use groups to stay in touch with potential customers or even to reach some new opportunities. Something great for those within larger groups.

By setting up specific alerts for a product or intent-related keywords, admins would have the opportunity to make sure they never miss a relevant discussion, while businesses could also work with admins from large, popular groups to set up an alert system to let them know about some relevant mentions, which they can tap into.

The main feature purpose isn’t brand-related, the objective is to help admins to participate in some discussions by ensuring that they can stay on top of any mentions which may not necessarily violate platform rules. Also, admins may keep tabs on the exchanges, and step in as required to manage their groups in the best possible way.

For sure, there are lots of opportunities here. Until now, there’s no official word from Facebook about this feature.
