About Evercity
Evercity is a Berlin-based platform for issuance and monitoring sustainable finance. By combining blockchain with monitoring tools they help banks, funds and corporates increase transparency and efficiency of their investments.
They have developed several innovations that they want to test and deploy on EU markets, namely:
1. Portfolio screening on EU Taxonomy alignment and automated green framework creation
2. Blockchain protocol for issuing green / sustainability-linked bonds
3. Impact monitoring and satellite-based sustainability risk assessment
Alexey Shadrin, Founder of Evercity
Alexey has been involved in the impact investment industry since 2011 when he founded the Russian Carbon Fund. It developed climate projects & helped to execute sustainability strategies of Unilever, Alcoa, Pepsico, Bloomberg, Sochi 2014 Olympics, FIFA 2018 Championship etc. The fund is a member of several international organizations: UN Global Compact Network, UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, World Bank Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition, Foundations 20, Climate Chain Coalition etc.
In 2016 he started impact tech R&D (blockchain, IoT, Drones) within the DAO IPCI open-source blockchain project. It resulted in the world’s first green asset transaction in the blockchain & global use-cases acknowledged by the UN & World Bank.
In 2018 Alexey founded Evercity — a blockchain-based platform for impact measurement, management & investment. Using WEB 3 and Industry 4.0 technologies, it raises market accountability, transparency and liquidity to accelerate finance flows needed for attainment of the UN 2030 Agenda.
Alexey spoke at such high-level events as World Bank Innovate4Climate, the UN International Climate conference COP21, COP 23–25 etc. He co-authored an Elsevier published book “Transforming Climate Finance and Green Investment with Blockchains” and currently holds the position of finance group leader within the Climate Chain Coalition.
