Should I start naming the releases? Hmm…lets run a poll on twitter 😋Anyways, Hi Folks! I am back with another jam-packed release of Web Maker. Lets see what you get in this version.

Detached Preview Mode

Biggest highlight of this release — now you can detach the preview into a separate window. Guess what that means. You can drag that detached preview window on a secondary display — yes, multi-monitor support! Plus more room for your code editing.

Find & Replace

I know such a basic feature took so long, but its finally here. Use your same old keyboard shortcuts to find (Ctrl/⌘ + f) and replace (Alt + Ctrl/⌘ + f) text in the code editors.

Atomic CSS (Atomizer) configurations

Few months back, Atomic CSS was introduced inside Web Maker. Its the new way of styling using just classes in HTML while your CSS is auto-magically generated!

With this release, you also get the option to configure Atomizer, the tool that generates that CSS, with available options. When in Atomic CSS mode, click the gear icon in the CSS panel to configure it. Read more about configuring Atomizer here.

Light Mode

Thanks to Andrew Luca, Web Maker now has a light mode. Turning this setting on makes Web Maker stop some resource heavy effects in the app. For now it stops the blur effect behind modals, but more things might get added under this setting in future to provide a much better experience on low-end devices.

More settings for you

Few more settings have been added so that you can better customise Web Maker according to your requirements.

Preserve Log — lets you choose whether or not you want to retain old logs across preview refreshes. Thanks to Basit Ali for contributing this super useful feature.

Line wrap — it is turned on by default, But you can choose to stop line wrapping for overflowing lines.

Oh, and yes, settings UI has been tweaked to provide a much better experience :)

Popular Libraries updated

Semantic UI & Bulma have made it to the popular libraries list :) Also various other libraries like Vue, Bootstrap 4, UI-Kit etc have been updated to their latest versions.

Plus some minor bug fixes here and there. Update your Web Maker extension now to get all these awesome set of features. And let me know what did you like best in this release?
