The Web3 Foundation is thrilled to open applications for the JAM Implementers’ Prize, offering a 10 million DOT prize pool to foster the development of the Join-Accumulate Machine (JAM) protocol. This initiative aims to diversify JAM implementations and strengthen the Polkadot ecosystem.

JAM is an evolutionary, minimalist blockchain protocol designed to enhance data management and interoperability within the network. It will ensure that Polkadot continues to provide the leading standard when it comes to the security, flexibility, and scalability of blockspace.

Prize Conditions

The JAM Implementers’ Prize encourages multiple client implementations to boost network resilience. The Foundation seeks proposals for JAM implementations in diverse programming languages, including OCaml, Go, and Zig.

To participate, teams must follow specific milestones, such as:

  • Importing and producing blocks
  • Achieving Kusama and Polkadot-level performance
  • Passing security audits

The goal is to ensure a robust, decentralized network capable of handling diverse computational tasks efficiently.

How to Apply

Interested teams can apply for the JAM Implementers’ Prize here. The Foundation is excited to support enthusiastic developers in shaping the future of blockchain technology.
