Decentralized Futures: Introducing OpenGov.Watch

Today, we are excited to announce OpenGov.Watch as the latest recipient of a Decentralized Futures Grant, a testament to the Polkadot community’s dedication to fostering an inclusive and transparent governance model across its network.

OpenGov.Watch is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at developing governance operations and culture within the Polkadot ecosystem. By providing regular reports and pioneering initiatives, OpenGov.Watch empowers governance participants to stay informed, find consensus, and coordinate on projects that propel the community forward. The Vision Behind OpenGov.Watch

The core mission of OpenGov.Watch is to help Polkadot Governance participants find a shared strategy to confront Polkadot’s growth challenges and build executive structures that implement the strategy. As the first step, OpenGov.Watch will make Polkadot’s governance model more accessible and understandable to everyone. Governance in blockchain is crucial for the development of its technology and broader ecosystem, yet it can often seem complex and opaque to the uninitiated. OpenGov.Watch addresses this challenge head-on by offering an infodesk with guides, regular governance reports, and avenues for community engagement and feedback.
