Web3 Foundation Grants — Wave 10 Recipients
Web3 Foundation is celebrating its 10th round of grants accepted through its Open and General Grants programs. With 27 new grant agreements signed in the second quarter of 2021, we’re now nearing close to 300 grantees since the beginning of the Foundation’s grants program in 2019. We’re humbled and thankful for the amount of interest in these technologies and the excellent work done by all participating teams.
While the number of grant applications ebbs and flows, the quality of applications is continuously rising. In order to attract the best teams, we’re constantly trying to improve the application experience and the quality and speed of feedback. In the past quarter, we have:
- hired more technical evaluators,
- updated our READMEs and application template to clarify the application process,
- streamlined the payment process,
- added USDT as a payment option,
and much more. If you have a suggestion on what our grants programs might be missing, please reach out to us on Github, by email or on Element!
It’s is exciting to see the number of talented teams contributing to the Polkadot, Kusama and Substrate tech stack, whether it’s voluntary, self-funded, through one of our grants programs or through other public funding sources, and we’re continuously looking for new projects to support to continue the expansion of the Web 3.0 ecosystem. If you’re interested, we invite you to apply (as explained below) or, if you have any preliminary questions, reach out to us via email.
