Profile’s Code is Now Open Source
At the end of 2020, Tuum Technologies began working on a concept called Project Moonlight. Our ultimate goal was to deliver a Web3 DID (decentralized identity) to allow users across the globe to tell their own personal stories and build new communities in the new era of the internet.
The journey was exciting and fruitful, where the product went through several stages of development, including a closed Alpha, Beta, and more recently an open Beta. Fast forwarding to today, that platform is now known as Profile.
Initially a rough prototype, every step of the way served as an important milestone in getting closer to our vision and mission to provide users with a way to truly own their data.
Today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve released a completely open source version of Profile to the public.
Our Commitment
Our team has been thinking about and building services for an open web since the early days of 2018. All of our knowledge, expertise, and the culmination of efforts have led us up to this point — that’s why we’re thrilled to release Profile’s code to the public and developer community so everyone can benefit.

We believe decentralized identities based on the W3C standards of DIDs and Verifiable Credentials will play a major role in the future of online activities across the worldwide web. People are continuing to flock to the internet as a means of communication, information, and more, meaning these technologies remain incredibly important to ensure user privacy and security.
The open framework Tuum Technologies has developed in collaboration with Elastos is your starting point to building a solution how you best see fit. We couldn’t be more excited to see where the greater blockchain ecosystem takes this new technology.
