How to personalize your website?

Let’s take a look at an example!

WEBA Mall is going to celebrate its tenth anniversary and is planning to hold a giveaway activity to its members with the following conditions.

(1) Set 4 level of membership: “Diamond, Gold, Silver, and Bronze”. They will have different percentages of cashback.

(2) To make customers feel special, address their names in the greetings, ex. “Dear Mr. Potter/Ms. Granger”.

In addition, we want to collect member purchase preferences data to do remarketing.

Starting from the personalized greetings and discounts.

Step 1 Start a new project.

Create a new site (campaign) with WEBA.

Select a template or create a new site.

Step 2 Upload the customer list.

Go to “My Site” dashboard, and upload lists with customer information (EXCEL file).

Step 3 Define Info Columns

Define each column from the list and click save. For example, column A is the first name and column B is customers’ gender, etc.

Define information columns.

Step 4 Add Categories

Add 4 types of customer preferences: Lifestyle, Electronics, Traveling, and Cosmetics. Also, add in membership categories: Diamond, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

Total arrangements added: 4*4=16 categories.

Step 5 Personalized Cashback

Adjust the personalized texts about cashback percentage for different customer categories.

The discount can also be tailored for segmented customers.

Step 6 Personalized Carousel Contents

Replace images or materials on the websites based on the preferences and browse records of a different audience.

Step 7 Personalized Greetings

Let every customer receive personalized greetings by the information columns defined in step 3.

Define the column first (left image) so that the customer name will show up in their sites.

Step 8 Export data

Every member will get their exclusive URLs after the sites are published and the data is exported.

The URLs for personalized sites will be generated (right area in the chart).

When members opened their exclusive URLs, they will see personalized content tailored just for them.

Details matter. Customers feel less distant when they see “Dear John” instead of “Dear Customers”.
