The number of potential attacks has been increasing significantly every year. Although there are some preventive measures, they don’t seem to be working in favor of the organizations. There has to be something that prevents most, if not all, of these attacks that leave the companies and individuals devastated.

In the last couple of years, Artificial Intelligence has taken over certain aspects of the cyber world. Cybersecurity is no exception to artificial intelligence as well. Before we dive deeper, let us determine the level of the ocean. Simply put, let us understand what this thing is before we come to the point of its application.

What is Artificial Intelligence?

It is a method of creating the machines, which can work more or less like a human does. These tasks include speech recognition, translation between the languages, and visual perception. Healthcare and retail are among the first industries to use machine learning for the betterment. And it is gradually reaching other industries as well.

Risks to the Cybersecurity

The first and foremost risk to Cybersecurity is the data transfer through cloud systems. The other one is the lack of skills. Most of the organizations face such attacks because they don’t train their employees to take the preventive measures.

How does Artificial Intelligence Prevent the Attacks?

Machine learning, although are different, work in tandem. AI uses machine learning to enhance its intelligence. The first thing that AI does for Cybersecurity is that it fills the gap of lack of skills which eventually helps prevent the cyber attacks.

It speeds up the incident response once it detects any malicious software on the relevant computer network. Some botnets and ransomware block the access to websites, and they mostly come through emails. AI also helps prevent such actions, which eventually improves the security of an individual or organization on the internet.

Conclusion

It should be noted that AI, by no means, is a complete remedy. Some other tools, like WebEagle, have to be brought to the battlefield as well. What they do is that they make it harder for the malicious attackers to carry out hacking on the systems that have them.

The more layers of security you deploy, the least you are vulnerable to attacks that leave no information of yours untouched. Cybersecurity is under tremendous threat, but it can be avoided if you take care of certain things.
