Where were you born and where did you grow up?

I was born in Jo’burg and I grew up in Jo’burg .

What was the first job you can remember you ever wanted to do?

I can remember my first real job was selling meat at a deli at Checkers in Hillbrow. When I was still at school, I wanted to write books.

When did you know for the first time, that you wanted to work in software development?

At school, but because of sanctions in the country we could not get the latest technology. We were forced to learn programming languages like AMOS and Fortran. And it did not look like there would be a future in it.

What is your favourite Dev Tool?

At the moment it is Visual Studio Code.

You have been part of and started many ventures in the past. What makes WeBill different?

WeBill is the biggest enterprise I’ve tried to do. The other ventures were much smaller startups. Some of them at the cutting edge at the time. It is very ambitious and definitely the most ambitious thing I have ever done.

Whether WeBill goes the distance or not, what would you still want to achieve in this lifetime?

Become a scratch handicap at golf.

Do you have any other hobbies or interests besides coding and running a startup?

I do not have time for much else, but I read a lot at night.

Do you play sports? What?

Yes, golf.

Favourite app on your home screen?

If you weren’t developing what would you be doing?

Playing golf!
