A Brief Introduction:

Hi, I am Pooja Vaish, UX/UI designer at Webkul Software. In this blog, I am drafting my journey about making the User Interface for WedgeCommerce. As a new designer, It’s been a challenge for me to make a design for eCommerce front-end and back-end, from logo making to marketing assists. But it was really a fun journey. Let's begin!

WedgeCommerce Overview:

According to today’s trend, recognition is an essential factor for business growth. WedgeCommerce maintain the B2B / B2C presumptions. This effective application can be used to combine data warehousing and customer relationship Management allowing self-service portals to maintain inventory, related opportunities, run personalized marketing campaigns and the 360- degree view of enhancing productivity with seamless interactions across the platform.

Logo Variations:

First challenge which I faced was to make a logo for WedgeCommerce. I started to create a logo with three 3 things in my mind -

(1) W (from WedgeCommerce)

(2) eCommerce

(3) Wedge

So I created a couple of variations which I found interesting.

But after some valuable feedbacks I decided to make subtle changes to it. I feet to stick to the simplest version. So, I made couple of color variations.

Now, I wished to choose the best font for this. I would like to put many thanks to Laura Pol for giving such a beautiful typeface — Aqua Grotesque. It not only enhanced the beauty of the logo but also made it audible.

Layouts:

I have designed layouts for Back-end as well as for Front-end for WedgeCommerce application. It’s a quite major task for me and I wished to give my best. So here are some Back-end screens which I have designed for the WedgeCommerce.

Dashboard Layout
Product & Add Product Layout
Store Admin & Payment Gateways Layout

So, this is my journey from logo making to the Back-end UI design. After completing the backend design, I moved to the front-end layout design. I have explored so many eCommerce websites to get all the eCommerce understanding. After so much research, rejection and references I got this final eCommerce layout.

Store Front

Using WedgeCommerce anyone can create an e-Commerce Store which is built native on Salesforce. This gives a new way to the concept of traditional marketing with buyer retention by using a single and independent application.

Categories & Product Page View
Cart & Wishlist View
Sign In & Checkout Page View
Order Success and Thank You Page View
404 Error Page View

These are some main pages which I have designed for the WedgeCommerce Store Front. WedgeCommerce is enriched with powerful features. In my next blog, I will let you guys about all the important features which we have focused upon in WedgeCommerce.

Stay tuned..!!
