F1Soft, One Of Nepal’s leading FinTech company has recently acquired Bhatbhateni Online shopping portal. Apart from providing services to more than 90% of the banks and financial institutions in the country, F1 Soft has now entered the E-commerce market in Nepal as eSewapasal with lots of hopes & commitments.

According to Zoominfo, Bhatbhatenionline Shopping has been operating in Nepal since last 6 years and with a good revenue of about $2.4 million and 11 talented employees, they offer a wide collection of products under various categories.

You could order online or by direct call and it had both online payment system as well as Cash On Delivery (COD) for local customers since the internet banking is yet to flourish well in the country.

Bhatbhateni online delivers various products line fashion apparel for Men & Women, Electronics gadgets, books, sportswear, pets accessories and even liquor at your doorsteps at the comfort of your home. All you need to do is order online or make a call and the product will be delivered to you within 2–5 business days.

Backed up by big venture & brand, Bhatbhatenionline, However has not quite been able to make a great impact in the market.

Bhatbhetenionline Acquired By F1Soft

E-commerce is the future of shopping. It can definitely create a great impact on economy sooner or later and Bishwas Dhakal, CEO Of F1soft knows that well.

Having provided financial technology service in the country & abroad for more than a decade, F1soft has grabbed the e-commerce opportunity at the very right time.

Soon after the acquisition of Daraz by Alibaba group, this step by F1soft has created a buzz in the online community. As far the E-commerce market of Nepal is concerned,

A lot of shopping portal has been established over last 5 years but none of them have been able to create any impact on the industry.

While Alibaba is a world known multi-billionaire company, on the one hand, F1soft has been able to earn a good Trust in the Nepali market.

So With this acquisition, we can imagine the intensity of competition between Alibaba and F1soft group.

We have witnessed local vendors winning over international brands, be it Alibaba China or Flipkart competing with Amazon in India. It would, therefore, be no surprise if F1soft comes with some major tweaks in the online shopping.

According to Mr. Bikash Dhakal, President of F1 Soft International, “The acquisition is based on our intent to make online shopping accessible, affordable and convenient for people living in Nepal,”. This will help to make the online market in the better position and reach out to all people.

Currently, Bhatbhatenionline.com operates independently but soon be redirected to Esewapasal.com as F1soft is likely to rebrand this Online shopping portal in Nepal.

However, The Facebook page of BhatbhateniOnline has been rebranded as eSewapasal.

Since Esewa is already a household name in Nepal when it comes to the digital wallet, The new acquisition can also help them acquire new customers for online payment and can definitely be helpful to each other. This way, it would be easier for them to collaborate both online shopping & digital payment at a glance.

Major Competitors

Daraz:

Since Daraz Nepal has been operating in Nepal for a long time and of course backed up by big players in the industry, they can definitely be one of the greatest rivals for eSewapasal.

Sastodeal:

A Nepali E-commerce portal from a Nepalese has been gaining a lot of attention in last few months. As the name suggests, they are committed to providing the cheap & best deals on a large variety of products online.

Update:07–06–2018

Bhatbhatenionline changed its Logo to eSewapasal

Bhatbhatenionline.com rebranded its logo as eSewapasal today. The previous logo, which had “bbo bhatbhatenionline.com” marked in its logo has been rebranded as eSewapasal as shown in the screenshot below. However, The URL is still the same. It would be interesting to see if they will operate both the website separately or will merge both into one and redirect bhatbhatenionline.com to eSewapasal. Let’s see how it goes in the future

Final Thoughts

eSewapasal is stepping into the path what Paytmmall has done in the past. Acquiring real customers and convincing them to use your digital wallet to pay for your product can effectively handle both eSewa & eSewapasal. It’s a win-win situation for both the products and of course F1Soft.

So, What do you think about this latest Acquisition by F1Soft. Do you think they can overcome the expensive image of Bhatbhatenionlone in the future? Can it dominate the E-commerce market in the country? Drop your suggestions in the comment below.
