In 2018 we saw thousands of excellent website redesigns. Whether companies were just changing a page or two, or giving their website a complete overhaul, there was no shortage of winning website designs. In the final month of the year, we saw many homepages with design elements that give visitors a strong first impression. Let’s take a look at seven homepages with design elements that you can incorporate into your next redesign. To see all of the latest website redesigns, head to Crayon Inspire.

Lead with a Bold Slogan

Digital Radish’s homepage is bold — using a montage of videos at the top of the page, rather than hitting the visitor with a lot of information. They keep it simple, with their brand name and the tagline, Breaking New Ground.

Use a Strong Call To Action

In a similar fashion to Digital Radish, Bold Worldwide keeps it simple with a minimalist design and video. With a bit more text at the top in addition to their homepage video, they have one clear call to action (CTA) — Let’s Go.

Cater to Each of Your Personas

TrueLearn caters to their whole audience, right away, using multiple CTA’s. Whether you’re a student, medical resident, or institution, there are paths for you right when you log onto their site.

Make it Easy to Convert Visitors

Hubstaff makes it easy for visitors to enroll in a free trial immediately. They sell it by telling the visitor they will save time, spending less on tracking and more on growing their business. Then, they have a form right below to sign up. This makes for a seamless experience and a great way to capture leads.

Use Bright and Unique Visuals

Sookio has a fun and easy to use homepage. Their imagery and colors are bright, unique, and vibrant. They have one sentence that highlights what they do, “Confident communication through digital content.” They also have easy to navigate CTA’s for content, strategy, and training, right on their homepage.

Speak to Your Customer’s Pain Points

Honey leads with what they will do for you -“If there’s a better price, we’ll find it.” They are speaking to the customer, telling them that they’ll find a better price, explaining that their product is free and easy to use, and showing that you can save at popular stores.

Show Off Your Talents

Splashgain draws you in right away by showcasing their credentials — “Award Winning Company.” Then, they lead you to explore their solution. This makes the visitor want to know more about why they’re award winning, and what they can do for you to make you award winning, too.
