“This is what I see a model doing during the long hot days of the California summer” says Michael Barr about this exclusive story that he has done for Stitch. He was inspired by Janis Joplin’s Summertime song for getting the perfect mix of vibrant colours and the summer in the city vibe that makes this LA story unique.

What would you say is the main idea of this series?
A Lazy Hazy Crazy Daze of Summer would be the full title but it felt too long. Although now I’m not so sure that it’s too long. I like the longer version. This is what I see a model doing during the long hot days of the California summer. Just hanging out being fabulous and cool. More fantasy than reality but who wants to see more reality.

Where did you get the inspiration for it?
The idea for this shoot came to me when I was listening to Janis Joplin’s “Summer Time.” I like the laid-back sexy feeling of the song. It’s ease coupled with the smooth sexual tension made me think of an attractive bored girl just lounging the day away wallowing in her own sexual malaise.

Explain Stitch’s fans how was the shooting process:
This shoot was pretty common in process. I had an idea. I gathered a good crew that I felt could bring it to fruition. And we all brought ideas into the mix that made it what it is. Of course ….
