Just a quick announcement. Two things.
First: my previous agency and I parted ways earlier this year, in February. I thank them for the two years I spent with them.
Second: I’m thrilled to announce that I am now represented by UK-based Bright Agency, under the Bright Group!
I first sent in an application to Bright in early 2012, even if I knew my work wasn’t ready yet. Naturally, they turned me down, and I signed with another agency, also in the UK. But when that contract was over, I thought I’d try with Bright again since my work and style has grown in the last 2 years. Fortunately, Bright probably thought so too, and welcomed me into their artist roster :)
Indulge me for a moment here. There was actually one other agency based in New York who approached me about signing with them while I was talking to Bright. All very flattering, of course — how did I, struggling illustrator from the third world (LOL), get to the point where I had two offers of representation from two different agencies?! It was a very nice problem to have — a testament that I’ve been growing in my work, and it was a nice boost of confidence in my skills as an illustrator :”) I’m feeling very blessed and thankful right now :)
