On his farm he’s leading the way in Gårdsinitiativet — the Farm Initiative — an effort by Sweden’s largest meat manufacturer, Scan, to attain net-zero emissions throughout their supply chain by 2030 and reach climate-positive status by 2045. Another 14 Swedish farms are said to be joining the Farm Initiative, and it will be further scaled up from there.

Sweden already boasts a relatively climate-smarter meat industry compared to many other countries, but the circular farming methods that Anders is using would move the needle much further in the direction toward true sustainability.
