The whole world had their eyes on a small Swedish town, as the World Championship in Biathlon was taking place. However, it wasn’t only the skiing athletes that drew people’s attention, but also the first climate seminar was organized as a part of the official World Championship program.

We Don’t Have Time, Peak Innovation and the Swedish Biathlon Federation hosted the seminar as a part of the official Championship program on the 14th of March 2019. People gathered both online and in Östersund, Sweden to discuss the climate crisis and the Future of Winter Sports.

Some of the invited speakers were Kit McConnell, Sports Director at the International Olympic Committee, and Peggy Greiser, President and local organizer for the next Championship in Biathlon (Oberhof 2020).

Many people gathered to discuss the climate changes impact on Winter Sports.
