A Poem About Insomnia…
“Quiet nights,
Worried minds,
An old Polaroid,
Hanging on an empty wall.”
“A strong foundation for a building,
But too dense with population,
With opaque windows,
Making it hard to see outside.”
“Forlorn nights,
Afraid minds,
A moldy cake,
Nobody wants to touch.”
“Cooked with ingenuity,
But lost track of time,
Now it is rusty,
What we loved once.”
“Sore nights,
Failed minds,
A little letter,
Wider than our thoughts.”
“A beautiful calligraphy,
But filled with regrets,
It takes courage,
To find what’s inside.”
“Furious nights,
bombarded minds,
A declaration of war,
Waiting to be signed.”
“An honorable deed,
But dancing with bloodshed,
A life-changing decision,
You have to overcome.”
“Foggy nights,
Lost minds,
A broken compass,
Exertion for destination.”
“Once a practical tool,
But now dead inside,
The stars won’t help,
On stormy nights.”
“What is it about nights,
That make us alive?
What is it about minds,
That keep us awake?”
“An astonishing painting,
But hard to understand,
Giving our thoughts shape,
By a pain in our chests.”
