My county is home to Florida’s first state preserve — Paynes Prairie — a unique ecosystem that is, at times, almost prairie-like (mostly dry) and at other times, more closely resembles a lake. Connected to the Prairie is Sweetwater Wetlands, a 125-acre park that nestles along the northern rim of the Prairie.
