All of creation trembles in anticipation
Awaiting this annual time of renewal and hope
The occasion for celebration is at hand
While rituals have a role to play
They pose the risk of merely touching the surface
Not challenging our inner selves
When measured against the immensity of the meaning of this season
Birds sing out their latest orchestral masterpieces
Trees swoon
Flowers burst forth in an array of colors
Animals prepare to offer homage
Oceans themselves sense the tidal change at hand
The air itself is infused with a special freshness
One event happened before history began
Entered into our world
Began our story
Its eternal Presence never leaving
All is consecrated once again through this mystery
The promise of salvation for humankind is renewed
In which none are excluded
Blessings pour forth for those open to receive them
