Arriving at the Party at Dusk:

Before Covid-19

When people come together, especially in small numbers, it can be like magic. The growing darkness is banished for at least a while. Fears and stresses of the day fade. Food and drink materialize. Friendships flourish. Books are discussed, ideas explored.

At this gathering, there were artists, teachers, retired folk, a farmer, a chef, a writer, a psychiatrist, and a flight attendant. A kind of a glow seemed to emerge from the group itself. A moment to cherish. Enchanting.
