Can’t You See the Tear in My Eye

A Poem

Can’t you see the tear in my eye, my dear,

Hear the prayer on my lip,

Read the poem in my heart.

Don’t play dumb to my feelings.
Don't play deaf to my pleadings.
Don’t play dead to my existence.

You love messing around with me.
But, do you have the heart enough to bear my absence in your life?
