Flooded field of cranberries lined with firs and trees decked in fall colours under cloudy, blue sky.

Ash green & ruby blaze
the fire & aftermath
cranberry & sage
Flood crimson & dry sprig
of velvet blessings,
the smoky savour strip
ghosts of inertia
Astringent fruit crush
well met river red
decking the valley
bejeweled in thanks

The twin colours
arrest all diversion
in refuge for faculty
to this moment & zest
of abundant sensation
unveiling bare life
and past of pasts

Mind dedicated
to revelations
of single-minded
senses reining
