PHOTO-A-DAY CHALLENGE
Dog Sitting, Junior Ranger Camp, and a Weekend Off
July 22–29, 2024
I was away from home all week last week until I finally got home on Friday night. All week, my coworkers and I led a Junior Ranger Day Camp in another park. Normally, that would have meant a 30-minute drive one-way each day, but because I was dog-sitting, I was only about five minutes away from that park. I appreciated not having to drive much!
Even though it was hot, I liked sitting outside on their covered patio in the evenings. It looks like I caught Olive mid-yawn!
On the first day of Junior Ranger Camp, all 26 kids got to see a hummingbird on its nest. They saw the mom and two babies. The babies weren’t really babies anymore. They were almost ready to fly away!
We made sure to give the birds plenty of space and we had to remind the kids all week to stay a respectful distance away.
