You’re every line in a love song
That’s ever been written or given to sing
You’re every string, taught with the friction
Of anticipation, waiting to ring

You are everything that I wanted
You captivated the wish of my heart
You are everything that I needed
To take this old world and crack it apart

And to watch all the angels come trooping on through
With their missiles cocked and their eyes on the truth
With their feeble imaginings wrenched from their minds
With their teeth gritted, strong, as determined to find

The place where their troubles will all be undone
As they’re certain their old hurts cannot stop the sun
From rising at dawn every instant inside
Their powerfully bless-ed hearts as their eyes
Are lifted to truth and redeemed from the woes
Of treacherous histories, imaginary foes

You’re everything that I needed and more
You’re everything I ever sought or asked for
You’re the everything I discover within
You’re my deep seated joy, my unstoppable grin
You’re the peace that is humbly experienced and loved
You’re the beauty I’ve always been dreaming of
