Happy New Year! Daily Walks Resume (It’s Time To Get Myself Back in Shape)

I realized I’d stopped exercising and eating right once my clothes started getting tight. I waited until after Christmas to start my daily walks and a “diet” (really just cutting out junk food and sugar).

Our weather has been mild for January. Highs fluctuate between the high 40s and mid-50s during the day. We’ve had a few cold and windy days so far, but not many. We haven’t even had to shovel snow yet!

Monday’s walk was during my lunch break at work, so I took a picture of the lake and snow-covered mountains in the background. No one was hanging out on the beach that day.

I took Tuesday off because I worked New Year’s Day, so I did some cleaning around the house and worked on re-stocking some soaps. I completely ran out between my craft fair in September, supplying soap for a coffee shop nearby, and supplying soap for an art gallery in Carson City. I also used a lot of soaps for Christmas gifts, along with my first attempts at candle making. The cut bar is…
