Week three of my photo journal
There’s something comforting about being in a place with a proven track record of getting things done. Maybe I’m motivated just knowing I’ve been motivated here previously?
Anyway, my energy changes when I’m at Jules Coffee in my hometown of La Crosse, Wisconsin. Jules has changed a lot since my college days when I’d study here until midnight multiple nights of the week — sometimes alone, sometimes with friends, sometimes with coffee. Not sure how I slept whichever night coffee happened.
Jules now has new owners and closes at 5 p.m. yet the double iced mochas are still wonderful and by golly I still get work done.
Friday, March 15
After a short family trip to Disneyland near L.A., we got back this morning. The highlight of the trip was meeting Michele Maize! My first Medium IRL (In Real Life) experience. I highly recommend it.
Hernan and I took a quick nap and packed ourselves back into the car to head to La Crosse. We have to get our taxes done and there’s no other time to do it.
La Crosse (or lax) is where I’m from, if you’re familiar with my story you know my heart beats hard for this city. It’s sandwiched between the bluffs and the river so the city…
