And learned a lot in the process

The year started ominously as the second wave of the pandemic had just hit. Having lived through months of lockdown in 2020, I had a feeling the year was going to be equally arduous, but I was determined not to let it rule my life.

I didn’t pre-plan the resolution that became both a blessing and a curse. On January 1, 2021, my cat yawned, and I happened to capture it with my iPhone.

It was a beauty!

I decided then and there to take a photo for the next 364 days of 2021.

I’ve been taking pictures for years, but it was more pointing and clicking. Over the past year, my quest brought me incredible joy and a sense of purpose and anticipation.

One click and a spontaneous decision changed my perception of myself, my life and my surroundings. I became more acutely aware of the beauty in the most unlikely objects. It inspired me to escape my four walls, searching for a shot. I developed a keener eye and sharpened my focus.

I captured the bounties of Mother Nature in all seasons.
