We live in a quiet town but on one of its busier streets. The foliage that lines the street giving us ample privacy.
Our front yard is quite spacious with a lot of bright green grass which requires mowing often due to frequent rain.
Our property is surrounded by many tall trees,
various shrubs and bushes,
and lots of beautiful colorful flowers. As you can see, we don’t have any neighbors across the street, granting us even more privacy.
We have yellow lilies,
and purple hyacinths.
I have not been able to identify this plant. We have two others on the side of the house. To me, it resembles an overgrown, yet bedraggled spider plant… like my hair when I wake up in the morning.
Here’s a view of our home from the street. We have other flowers that are either in hibernation or have died off. I truly enjoy looking at beautiful colorful flowers, but don’t have time or the strength to tend to them properly.
This is a wooden bucket of dead wildflowers… or is it? What are those bright green sprouts on the right? I’ll have to keep watch and see.
This is our gravel path leading to the front door which is in dire need of weeding. However, the weeds actually provide traction and prevent one from slipping and falling. The more you walk on gravel, the smoother the pebbles get, creating a potential accident.
This is our wind-activated wooden bird that oversees it all. Its wings flap when the wind blows.
I hope you enjoyed my pictorial of our front yard. It’s modest, but we like it.
Thank you for taking the time to view and read my submission.

My husband and I began rescuing dogs over 20 years ago. They are our furry family and we do everything we can to help fill their lives with love, health, and happiness. We rescue the old, sick, unwanted, damaged, and on death row. Each special soul we save changes us and remains in our hearts long after they’re gone. We have a Go Fund Me campaign: (https://www.gofundme.com/tr796d-dog-haven?member=1560512 ) open in hopes of raising money to help pay for their veterinarian expenses.
