First full day of Spring
brings sunshine and flowers as
pink flurries
while I sit in the parking lot
watching the cherry tree upwind
drop pink petals on my windshield;
soft and happy for a moment,
before blowing on and away
looking for another soul
to bring happiness
in the pink snowflakes
and a burgeoning new season.
