The Square Root of a Hush

A poem

C. Riker, rose from my former garden, 2016

The roses naturally arrange themselves
as their own constellation
scattered like unwritten prose

It’s love’s hush, they say

Independent and dependent
holding onto their strong cane
I wonder if they whisper
in a hush to maintain
while the world
spins frantically insane

Poetry is my first love. Inspired by intuition & my chunky ginger cat. My favorite place is by the sea, sipping espressos and daydreaming.
