Our January prompt was about hope, and it’s not a big leap from hope to excitement. Don’t we need hope to have excitement? After all, hopelessness holds no space for excitement.

Is there anything in the near future that you are eagerly anticipating? Your source of excitement could be personal, familial, work-or-school-related, or something interesting in your community. Are you planning a vacation? Will you be graduating or getting a promotion? Or maybe you’re starting a new job or going off to college. Are you, a friend or a relative getting married or having a baby? Will there be a fun concert or festival in your community? Maybe one of your favorite stores or restaurants is coming to your town. Perhaps you’ll be moving houses, cities, states, or countries.

Tell us what you are excited about!

A couple of things to remember about our prompts:

  • Use Writing Prompt Response as one of your topics/tags when responding to a prompt so your piece is routed to the correct place.
  • Our prompts have no due dates or deadlines.

I want to thank Christine Morris, Ph. D., for providing our January banner and Kim Zuch for February’s. Weeds & Wildflowers has many wonderful…
