If you are trying to eat more vegetables, here’s a fun challenge for you:

Eat “the rainbow” through the week, by eating a different color of fruit and vegetables every day.

Why?

I think we all know that vegetables are some of the healthiest foods we can eat. They are an important source of vitamins, minerals, and fibers while having a low calory density which will help with maintaining a healthy weight, body, and mind. Fruits also have similar benefits, but they are also high on sugar, which is why it’s better to eat more vegetables than fruits.

To get a full variety of vitamins, it’s important to eat different fruits and vegetables. There is no magic fruit or vegetable that contains it all and variety is, in general, the key to a healthy lifestyle.

Vegetables of the same color often contain some similar nutrients. Therefore, it’s not only a fun challenge to “eat the rainbow”, but it’s also a good habit to build, to ensure a well-balanced diet. It…
