Flipboard launched in July 2010 as the world’s first social magazine, where content from social networks, publishers, online sources and photo sharing sites could all be accessed in one place. It has one the most minimalist logo and quite easy to replicate.

This is what our final sketch version will look like

Step 1 : Frame

Create an “Artboard” of 120x120 and draw a rounded rectangle of 120x120 with the radius set to 28

Step 2 : Colors

Set “Flat Color” of rectangle to “#D32D27”, Next select “Linear Gradient”. Set color of the top point as “#FD242B” and bottom point to “#CB000B”

By now you should have something like this

Step 3 : Body

Shape 1 : Add a rectangle of 24x72 at position x : 24, y : 24, color set to #fff

Shape 2 : Add another rectangle of 48x24 at the position x : 48, y : 24, color set to #fff and opacity : 90%

Shape 3 : Add last rectangle of 24x24 at the position x : 48, y : 48, color again set to #fff and opacity : 80%
