This week we pivoted from our learnings at the hotel and put our focus into making progress on our high-fidelity screen designs and interactive prototypes, as well got a head start on two large deliverables: our video and final report.
Actions
The team met to establish goals in testing our design in the hotel, this time unattended, and over an extended period of time. Up to this point, we had evaluated our prototypes in facilitated user tests. This prototype will be left in the hotel over 3 days, to gather evidence that our design actually works. Our data will be provided by comment cards, hotel staff who will collect feedback from guests upon check out, and interviews with staff members. The team also met to scope the workability of our prototype and decided its functionality for the test and the functionality we will add for our final presentation demo. The team made progress this week in moving these prototypes forward as well as making arrangements for our 3 day test at the hotel, which will go from Thursday, December 7th through Saturday, December 10th.
In terms of our deliverables, we had our video shoot and we created a rough cut from the footage. We also completed a portion of our final report.
Next steps
Next week we will:
- Begin visual content for report, presentation, and website
- Begin final presentation slide deck
- Complete interactive prototype and launch final hotel test
- Collect remaining footage for the video and finish the final cut
