The second version of the weiDex exchange is now available!
The platform is now entirely updated with many new features and improvements. Our developers are working hard to make the experience on the exchange as easy as possible for all traders.
The latest updates introduce a better user interface and design. It also offers additional options for guidance through the whole platform.

1. Smart contracts improvements
The new smart contracts are written on the latest version of Ethereum and they have the following updates:
- optimized gas costs on smart contract calls;
- an added incentive for market makers (they receive 50% of the taker trade fees);
- removed trading fees for market makers;
- built-in referral bonuses on smart contract level;
- added expiration time on placed orders (this will improve the market making process);
- on-chain liquidity from Kyber Network is introduced
2. Kyber Integration
By integrating Kyber Network we are providing a solution for the liquidity on our exchange.
Kyber is an on-chain liquidity protocol that aggregates liquidity from a wide range of reserves, powering instant and security token exchange in any decentralized application. Kyber enables a wide range of decentralized use cases by allowing wallets, websites, and applications to integrate instant token exchange directly into the application logic.

3. The Referral bonus
We are all well-aware with the concept of the referral bonus system. A referral marketing system works because people are more likely to be influenced by product recommendations from friends. You can read more about the referral system here.
In our platform, we decided to implement a referral system where people can receive a reward for placing an order on our exchange.
- Makers will receive a 50% reward from the Taker’s fee which is 0.2%
- If you invite a friend by your referral link you can get another 20% from his exchange trading fee.
- In the end, you can receive up to 70% rewards from trading fees
4. UI updates
- Updated look for the “My Wallet” page
We’ve given the My Wallet page a fresh redesign with an intuitive and fun new UI component — a doughnut chart. It takes information from the users’ balance and displays it as different portions, with the size of each one being measured by the sum of the tokens’ value in ETH. The user can also click on any token in the list on the top left side of the chart and deselect tokens which he doesn’t want to be displayed on it, thus updating the chart in real-time with the rest of the tokens. Of course, the user can then select the removed token and it will show up again.
Aside from that the Wallet Page is now visually separated into three sections — the doughnut chart, the users’ tokens in a scrollable list, and a referral link frame.
- Updated look for the Connect Wallet page
The login or Connect Wallet page has also gone through a remake — each method for connection (with the exception of Brain Wallet) now has a crisp logo icon. We’ve also made other minor changes to the overall design of the page including changing colors, button backgrounds, etc.
- New Moon mode colors!
The dark mode in our exchange is now equipped with a refurbished, more easy on the eyes color palette. Our main colors — green, blue and red have been toned down and aren’t that bright anymore, in order to fit perfectly to the new, darker background color. These two changes alone have created a far better contrast effect than before and we hope you’re going to like it a lot as well. But don’t take my word for it, go to the exchange, click on the Sun/Moon toggle on the top right of the page and asses the changes for yourself.
- Footer utilities — fast access and price tracker
Instead of checking the price of a token via another browser tab or constantly switching between tokens in the token selector, you will now see from 3 to 13 blocks, or more (depending on your screen size), directly in the footer on every page. Inside each block there’s information about a token, first -the price, both measured in ETH and in USD, and second — the % change in the token price for the last 24h. Along with all that, when you click on a token block that token will be chosen in the token selector.
Notice: The tokens are automatically sorted by their 24h volume and their price is updated in real-time, along with the price of ETH in the top right of the page.
5. Help button
You can now find a new Help button in the burger menu at the right left corner on the exchange. It is loaded with a list of FAQ and HowTo publications. It will be a unique guide helping you out during your first steps on the platform.
6. Submit token & Submit Feedback buttons
Right below the Help button in the same burger menu, you can also find other two very useful buttons.
- the “Submit token” button enables you to fill in a short form and submit your token for listing on our exchange. The team will then review your application, exercise due diligence and answer back to you if the token is approved.
Attention: as a fully decentralized exchange, weiDex does not collect any listing fees.
- the “Submit Feedback” button enables you to give us your feedback about the platform. We will highly appreciate if you spend some moments to write down your opinion about the exchange. Let us know what was your experience while trading on weiDex — what did you enjoy and what would you like to see improved next time. 7. Discord channel
We are building a new community channel on Discord. We will try to keep the constant discussion with the Devs there as well as all other people interested in our platform. We will discuss technical features, blockchain technology, Ethereum ecosystem, trading of assets and a lot more. But the main purpose is to focus on your opinion and recommendations.
