- About the project
Golem is a peer-to-peer decentralized marketplace for computing power. It is equivalent to open source decentralized supercomputer that anyone can access. This means that it is made up of the combined power of users’ machines. This immense power can be used for executing a wide variety of tasks. As a result, Golem generates a decentralized sharing economy of computing power and supplies software developers with a cheap source of computing power overcoming the limitations of the single computer.

- peer-to-peer network — enable renting resources of other users’ machines
- Ethereum-based transactions system — enables direct payments between requestors, providers, and developers
- dedicated software integrations — everyone is allowed to create and deploy software to the Golem network by publishing it to the Application Registry.
3. What can the GNT token be used for?
The GNT token can be used for payments from requesters to providers for resource usage. GNT will also be needed for other interactions with Golem such as submitting deposits or participation in the process of software validation.
