Hosta are Problem Free; Unless They Aren’t

This Fall I’m checking my hostas for Hosta Virus X.

My foster children planted hostas in my yard after a hail storm took out an enormous tree. Once you plant a hosta, you plant lots of hostas. I’ve always thought they were disease free. I was wrong. These easy-going beauties can be infected with Hosta Virus X (HVX) and it can spread.
