How I keep wasps away from my doors and out of my house.
In the past, I have had them follow me into the house, and once they made a nest in the basement.
No more!
Wasps must stay out of doors, and I’m going to share how I prevent them from nesting where I do not want them.
Wasps buzz around in early spring to find places to make new nests. I use the following mix around the doors, and it works. I mist heavily around the door and the eaves of the house.
My secret.
In a spray bottle, mix ten drops each of geranium, peppermint, eucalyptus, lemongrass, and clove essential oils in a spray bottle of two cups of water with two drops of dish soap.
I am not one to measure. Ten drops each should do it. You must have a true essential oil If you get one that is synthetic, it will attract wasps or not work.
Brands that I use for garden and cleaning products are Aura Cacia, which you can get at most grocery stores. Eden's Garden is inexpensive and has free shipping.
