Create a New Lifestyle by Making Just a Few Changes — Losing the Fat

I think everyone has tried diet & exercise many times in their lives and failed. It has got to be the #1 New Year’s Resolution in America! Some may succeed, but most people probably forget about the resolution altogether by February. Life gets in the way. And yet another attempt at losing weight has failed us.
I have recently started a new path, discovering a new way of life. I don’t call it a diet. That makes me feel like I am depriving myself of all the yummy foods. It is a lifestyle change.
This is what I do:
First, I downloaded an app on my phone to count calories. This app not only counts calories, but separates the fats, proteins, carbs, everything!!
Because it is not only about calories, you have to be aware of everything you’re putting into your body. You need to know the difference in the good fats and bad fats. How many carbs you should take in daily, how many proteins does your body need? It is all important.
Keep track, at least until you get in the groove of things and it becomes your new normal. Be ‘best buds’ with this new app. There are several calorie counters out there.
Second, I also added a step counter on my phone. (Some may already do that with the apple watch.) I keep track of my steps and activity so I know just how active I’ve been and set goals for myself. It helps me stay accountable for my activity.
Third, I walk!! I walk and I walk and I walk!! This is coming from someone that never enjoyed walking. “Why walk when I have a car?” But I enjoy it now. It releases happy endorphins from your body naturally.
It gives you such a wonderful feeling inside to be out in the world, soaking up the sunshine. Hearing the birds and squirrels gives you a peaceful feeling inside. I love it.
Results
My results have been amazing so far. In just 4 short weeks I have lost 14 lbs. Changing my eating habits and exercising is key!
I have stayed focused and kept my eyes on the prize!! The prize is a healthier happier Tiffany. And I’m succeeding! It feels great! I am losing fat! I am losing inches.
My clothes are fitting differently. More importantly, my mental health is getting healthy.
Losing fat can be done by making some changes in your daily routine. Put healthy foods in your body and walk! It doesn’t have to be a marathon. It can be short walks, just keep it movin’! It can be done!!
