In 1920, Ernest Hemingway was bet 10 dollars that he could not write a story in six words.
Ernest Miller Hemingway (/ˈɜːrnɪst ˈhɛmɪŋweɪ/; July 21, 1899 — July 2, 1961) was an American novelist, short-story writer and journalist. Best known for an economical, understated style that significantly influenced later 20th-century writers.
So he went away and did it.
HERE IS HIS SIX WORD STORY :
For Sale: baby shoes, never worn.

Let’s interpret! My interpretation is a bit melancholy. :(
For Sale: baby shoes, never worn.
What was his story about?
It could be read as a couple desperate for a child and after multiple times trying, were not successful.
The couple grew apart and then they felt a sense of relief that they were away from each other.
Each one of them felt the heartache and distress that this was causing them.
They could not catch their breath. The pain was more than they could bear. The scars so penetrating, tearing at them, marking them day after day.
Then they got rid of so many baby items, so many piled high: they would never be used. In the end, they broke.
The baby items left the last threads holding them together but yet breaking them apart.
Their hearts and souls had escaped and now their life is devoid of love and caring.
And so they depart, and the baby shoes are gone. Long gone.
Well that’s what I think! But you could make it more happy!

Broken: Black bag collected, not amused.
